The Lee group develops adaptive polymer networks and interfaces that reorganize at the molecular level to adjust their mechanical, electrical, and interfacial properties in response to external stimuli. By integrating dynamic covalent chemistry with electronic and ionic transport, we establish molecular design principles that connect reversible bond exchange, chain dynamics, and multiscale structure with macroscopic performance. These principles are translated into representative applications in smart sensing, soft electronics, and adaptive material interfaces. Through polymer synthesis, characterization, and device integration, we aim to create durable and reprocessable materials that can adjust, maintain, or recover their function over repeated use.
